Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane Dupes

 Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane

A while back I found some Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane dupes in New Look however they didn't have my size and were sold-out very quickly, and then I saw some in River Island but were more expensive BUT now I finally got some dupes from Boohoo. They look very similar to the originals and were only £35; save ~£100 from buying the real thing. I usually don't like buying things that EVERYONE has but I love the style of these and been searching for some good dupes for ages. I am so glad I got them; definitely now my favourite shoes. They feel quite heavy but think that's something that will easily to get used to. I won't be wearing them to uni, however, as don't want them to get dirty (I have to walk through a lot of leafy grounds and usually puddles at this time of the year).

MUA nail varnishes; Essie dupes

For some reason I only just decided to write a blog about the MUA nail varnishes even though I tried them a good couple of months ago. These nail varnishes are supposed to be dupes for Essie, however, I have never tried Essie as I think they're too expensive. Thus, when I saw these little jewel looking so lovely, resembling Essie, and only £1; I had to try it. I chose shade 6 which is a deep red and is perfect for autumn/winter. I wasn't expecting much to be honest considering how inexpensive they are but I was pleasantly surprised; great coverage and the little brush makes the varnish easier to apply. There are many colours available and I think I will be buying more, they may even take over Barry M as my favourite nail varnish brand.....LOL Jkz I love Barry M too much :P

Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation Review

"Feather light, liquid mousse blends flawlessly for natural-looking, all day shine control.
Silky smooth formula leaves a perfectly matte, baby-soft finish. Lightweight texture
won’t feel heavy or greasy. Minimizes the appearance of pores."

So I tried the Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation, I swear this is just an updated product...or am I imagining it for some reason??
I have combination skin; oily T-zone and normal cheeks, and I, therefore, need to use foundation that has a matte finish and is oil-free. This is pretty much what this foundation is for. I've been using Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse for years and is always my go-to foundation but it's nice to try something else sometimes; a) to see if there's any difference or if its better, b) to see what the hype is all about. After using this product initially I thought it was ok.....just ok. My skin didn't look shiny, didn't feel heavy and it has a nice coverage....BUT after a few hours I did find my skin to be oily and shiny again which I obviously wasn't very happy with. In conclusion, I think this product is just ok and there's nothing special about. FYI I didn't just try this product just the once, I used it over a few days and every time my skin turned out the same. I guess I'm back to my beloved Dream Matte Mouse....

Rimmel ScandalEyes Thick and Thick Waterproof Eyeliner Review

Before even buying this product I thought it was a great design; eyeliner which is more precise and easy to apply. It also reminded me of a felt tip pen :P .... It was great when I first tried it, it lived up to expectations. It was really easy to apply and can change thickness by rotating the product. The density was great too, no need for re-applying. The big down-fall for me and why I won't buying this again is that it doesn't last very long. On a daily wear basis; it last for ~2-3 months which isn't great considering I have had my Barry M liquid eyeliner for over 6 months and is also cheaper. It also claimed to be waterproof which I'm not so sure is true regarding how easy it was to remove. I think this product would be better suited to those who wear eyeliner on occasion rather than for frequent use.

Sorry for lack of posts

......have had no internet for over 3 weeks and still technically don't have it (neighbours let me use theirs) but will be getting it on Thursday. Therefore, I will be posting again (yay!) and making youtube videos again (double yay!). I probably won't be able to post as frequently as before as I am back at uni, now studying MSc Molecular Medicine so as you can probably guess it's a lot of work. That's another thing about having internet again, I now get to work from home rather than sitting in the lonely computer room. Never realized before how much I rely on it until it's gone. But no more moaning and complaining, apart from about money as that's always a thing for use poor students =P

Maybelline Baby Lips Hit The UK!!!

I was very excited when I walked into Superdrugs to fine that the Maybelline Baby Lips are now in the UK. I have read and seen a lot of americans rave about these. I think the real question is whether or not the Baby Lips are worth the hype. In the case of the Intense Care version which I purchased, I have to say yes! This lip balm keeps my lips looking soft and hydrated throughout the day which is all I could really ask for, and the sun protection makes this even more perfect as a summer staple if you're still waiting to go on holiday. I'd still quite like to try one of the coloured versions of the Maybelline Baby Lips, preferably Pink Punch, but for now I'm very happy with my purchase. The Baby Lips cost £2.99 which I'd happily pay again for a very hydrating lip balm.

Autumn/Winter'13 Trend:This is England

I am in love with this Autumn/Winter trend. It's all very 80's style and cool but understated...just think of Cara Delevingne's style. I have already purchased an oversized, acid wash denim jacket and a borg jacket...now I'm on the hunt for a classic bomber jacket. Also, I get very attracted to tartan pieces whenever I go into shops...my eyes are drawn to them so with this trend it is very likely that tartan will be everywhere. But the thing about this trend is that most of the stuff I have bought for it my dad used to own when he was my age. I wish my dad kept his old clothes...would save me money.

MOTO Vintage Borg Denim Jacket
This is the borg jacket I got recently from Topshop...I am in love. This paired with leggings, chelsea boots and a tartan scarf would be perfect.
This mixed tartan shirt is on my wish list. This will go perfectly with this trend. This is oversized but without being too big and is a great fit.
Annie Oversized Vintage Jumper
I have also purchased this oversized jumper from boohoo.com. It is very soft and vintage-looking.

My favourite trend in a long time. Love it!!

Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends: Review

I don't usually get very excited about hair products as I have never found anything that has amazed me. However, I bought the Herbal essences beautiful ends shampoo and conditioner (just because it was on sale and needed some) and this has turned out to be fantastic. I have always loved the scents of herbal essences products but didn't really do anything different compared to other brands but to my surprise, even after the first use, my hair felt so much softer and more manageable. This shampoo and conditioner is perfect as I have dry hair due to straighteners and hair dye, and for the first time in years my hair feel a lot healthier. I will definitely be buying this again and I highly recommend if you have dry hair like mine.

Original Polly Pocket Necklace

Oh childhood memories came flooding as soon as I saw these gems on dollybowbow.co.uk. If you're an 80's or 90's chick as well then you will definitely remember polly pocket. Almost every young girl had these of a variety of different themes. They came in little shell-like homes and I would play endlessly with them. Then polly pocket changes and got bigger with jelly clothing and polly pocket was never the same again.....sadly.
Here are some pictures of the original polly pockets for you to remember fun memories:

After reminiscing about the toys I had as a kid, I couldn't not get an original polly pocket necklace. Unfortunately, they're are one and only's so once they go....they go. I managed to snap up the last blonde polly to go thankfully as a brunette polly just wasn't me. If you would like one then check out the link to see if there's any left: http://www.dollybowbow.co.uk/jewellery/383-vintage-polly-pocket-jewellery-limited-edition.html

Darks in The Sunshine: Summer Trend

A surprising summer trend for 2013 is dark shades. This is exciting as you can keep things looking cool and chic instead of opting for the typical vest and shorts. The high-street shops are only just started to bring out this trend but I'm sure by August, dark colours in fetching shapes will be everywhere. Below a few bits from affordable stores.

If I Were Rich: Smock Dresses

It's sad sometimes being a poor student; seeing gorgeous clothes and not being able to buy them. What I have been lusting over just lately is smock dresses. I think for skinny people like myself, smock dresses look great. They are so comfortable and so effortless looking. The best place to go for some gorgeous smock dresses (in my opinion) is ASOS. Here some that I wish I can buy:

Pug Crop Top

I got this overly cute pug crop top a few weeks ago from Ark. I saw this first a few months ago and when I saw it again I just had to have it. This was the only one left (I can see why since its adorable) and was in a size extra small; so I think that was destiny. I love pugs; they're one of my favourite dog breed, they are just so cute. I also like how it is black and white but with a coloured tongue, makes it a bit more fun and unique. I have been wearing this just lately with a grey vest underneath and black legging. However, in the summer, I will be wearing this with high waisted, vintage-looking denim shorts. This top goes perfectly with red lips and nails, with a gold chain necklace to accessorize.

Helen E Waterproof Lip Liner

As the others who got last month's Glossybox, one of the products inside was Helen E waterproof ;ip liner. I have never heard of Helen E and so was curious to try. I have to say the product is very good quality. I have found with previous lip liner experience that they are usually quite drying and I don't find them suitable for me. However, Helen E has changed my mind, not only is it creamy and keeps lipsticks on well, especially my Sleek Vamp, but also can act as a lip colour on its own. The only problem with Helen E is that I think it is quite expensive even though the products are good, I feel like I can easily find dupes for Helen E products at much less of a cost.

Barry M Confetti Effect in Liquorice

As I stepped foot in Superdrugs, I went straight towards the Barry M section to eye u the nail varnishes. I always love doing my nails and any new creations that are brought to the shelves I usually want straight away. Barry M have always been my favourite nail varnish make due to being affordable and very creative with their designs. They have a new range called Confetti Effect. At first I was drown to the ice-cream coloured ones but then I found this one called liquorice which was the last one they had left. I knew instantly I was going to buy it. As soon as I got home I put it straight on top of my Barry M textured effect varnish in Kingsland Road which instantly looked amazing. I decided to try another coat which gave the results as soon above. I think this looks great and am looking forward in rocking this confetti varnish with other colours. When I first saw this I thought this would look great with black nail varnish as then the white confetti of the varnish will show up more. In conclusion, I think this is a must-have for anyone's nail varnish collection.

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Lycra Flex Review

After being disappointed in the Benefit They're Real mascara I decided to try the new Scandaleyes Lycra Flex mascara by Rimmel London. I tried it for the first time today and I have to say I really like this. What I like the most about it is that its easily buildable. So whether you want a day time look or a full-on party look, it can be achieved by this mascara. This mascara is also only £4.99 at the moment in Superdrugs. In conclusion, it's affordable but valuable. Well recommended I think.

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in Greenberry

Trend: Stripes

I am so glad that stripes are on trend for this season, especially as I bought a black and white striped dress from Primark recently. I always find striped very flattering and can be used for themes such as nautical or monochrome. This was seen on the spring 2013 catwalk Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs and Ralph Lauren.

Benefit They're Real Mascara Review

Benefit They'Re Real! Mascara - Black

After so many people have raved about this I finally got to try it as it came free with Elle magazine. I was really looking forward to giving this a try but unfortunately I didn't like it. Considering this price, I didn't find this any different from other mascaras that are a fraction of the price. My lashes looked the same as usual, no difference. I also found this relatively difficult to remove using my facial wipes and always have residue left of my lashes. Therefore, I am very disappointed in this product.

These beauties came in today and I must say I had a little fit of excitement. I LOVE the buckles at the front and the studded design gives them a western touch. They are also padded inside so are super comfortable. What makes these even more awesome is they they are only £18. They are also available in red.

I have been looking for high waisted shorts forever and really struggled to find them but thankfully found them in new look.

Black (Black) Black Crop Top | 280628201 | New Look
This cropped top comes in many different colours but I just wanted a plain black as a wardrobe staple. This is easy to style and goes with pretty much anything. This this would look really cute with my Primark dungarees.
Pale Blue (Blue) 2 Pack Blue Denim and Floral Bow Headbands | 282282345 | New Look
These are so cute and perfect for the summer. These are also quite cheap at £3.99 for the two. They come out quite big but still really cute and can't wait for the sun to start coming out again so I can wear them.

Possibly My Next Tattoo

I LOVE THIS. I am more then likely get this inked, the only problem is where? Either my foots or my bicep; can't decide. Whenever I doodle I ALWAYS draw skulls of flowers, for some reason I am attracted to them. Therefore, it only seems reasonable to get it inked on me.
